Team Purpose: The Broomfield Jr. Eagles wrestling program is dedicated to the development and training of young athletes in the sport of wrestling. Having athletes of varying skill is something that will always be present. However, having athletes with the same motivations, determinations, and capacity for intensity are not. We have divided the groups to help alleviate some of those concerns so that athletes are getting the same level of intensity and instruction geared toward what they need. This will also help make sure that our athletes are getting the focused attention that they deserve as a part of our club. White Team Any beginning, younger wrestler or a wrestler that is not ready to advance to the higher level of training or technique afforded by the Blue/Silver Team. Training on this level does not mean that the wrestler may participate in the Novice Level events unless he/she meets the requirements outlined by the tournament sanctions. Silver Team Any intermediate/advanced wrestler that is wrestling for recreation purposes or not yet ready for the physical/mental demands of the Blue Team. An older beginning wrestler will also start out on this level. Blue Team Any intermediate/advanced wrestler that will be traveling out of state (not limited to traveling) or has demonstrated readiness for the physical/mental intensity of increased training and technique required by the Blue Team Novice Level Definition (typical): Any wrestler that is new to the sport or has not competed in a non-novice level tournament (or JV) is a novice level wrestler. The tournament sanctions provide definition for each different tournament. Any wrestler from Broomfield that is found to be participating against these sanctions will be addressed by the Head Coach and BOD. Liability Waiver: RELEASE I understand, acknowledge, and agree by my signature below (or acknowledgment on online registration form) that wrestling is a sport that is inherently dangerous; that by participating in the Broomfield Jr. Eagles Wrestling program I am voluntarily assuming the risk of personal harm, injury or death; and that I hereby release, discharge, and forever disclaim any and all right, cause of action, or claims of any nature whatsoever against Broomfield Jr. Eagles Wrestling program, Broomfield High School, The Boulder Valley Public Schools, the City and County of Broomfield, the Metro Junior Wrestling League, Western Suburban Wrestling League, their agents, volunteers, employees, assigns, directors, officers, officials and members, except for intentional tortuous acts or omissions. I further agree and acknowledge that I have health or accident insurance (in addition to league provided insurance) or that I waive such primary insurance coverage, which will cover any and all injuries I may suffer as a result of my participation in the Broomfield Jr. Eagles Wrestling Program. I further acknowledge and represent that I have no physical impairment or condition which requires the presence of a physician or other qualified medical personnel to be in attendance while participating in activities with the Broomfield Jr. Eagles Wrestling Program. I further consent to and agree that Broomfield Jr Eagles and its photographers shall be entitled to use any photographs (including those provided to the wrestling program)and video recording involving my likeness to be published in the public domain without compensation or liability to me. Wrestler/Parent Code of Conduct I, __________________(name) agree to represent Broomfield Jr. Eagles both on and off the mat in a manner that is respectful of all parties involved. Disrespectful, unsportsmanlike, or otherwise unapproved behavior will not be tolerated in any way. The first violation will result in a warning and subsequent violations could result in a suspension from competition representing Broomfield Jr. Eagles. I also agree to represent Broomfield Jr Eagles ONLY while competing in Colorado at league/club sanctioned events (we are in 2 different leagues). I understand that I am expected to attend all scheduled practices for the level I am in (we understand that illness, school and household responsibilities may impact this) and that I am registering for a team that is appropriate for my abilities. If I am a part of a traveling, national level team (wrestling or otherwise), I will bring up any practice issues to the Head Coach for discussion with the BOD. This will be brought up prior to the first practice for the level I am registered for. I will compete in the representative uniform of the club and could be asked to leave the competition if I am not. After the first violation, I understand that upon further violations, I could have my club/league memberships revoked and not be allowed to compete at the league events that conclude the season. National level tournaments that are held in Colorado are not sanctioned events at this time, but Broomfield Jr. Eagles are highly encouraged to compete in Broomfield uniforms. National Level Events that are outside Colorado are exempt from this agreement.
Parents: I agree to keep discussions in the room to a minimum and to respect the coaches in the room. I understand that disruptions in the room lead to losing the focus for the kids and I may be asked to leave the room if the coaches deem it necessary. I agree that during practice, I will stay off the mats unless asked for help by the coaching staff. I also agree to stay in the room during practice if my child is not old enough to use the restroom by themselves or get a drink on their own.

I will speak with the Head Coach if situations arise that do not permit me to be present. I will not show up to the practice room or events while under the influence of any substance. If I am asked to leave an event or practice I understand that some action may be taken by the BOD that could result in my being asked not to return to the practice room or competitions.
